IMPORTANT NOTE: The Master of Arts in Education Studies degree as an alternative to the Professional Educator licensure programs. This degree does not lead to a Professional Educator License granted by the State of Illinois. This is a liberal arts degree in the discipline of education studies.

Admission Requirements

All applicants must meet the general admission requirements for Concordia University Chicago graduate programs as published in the University's academic catalog.

New students are accepted into graduate degree-seeking, certificate, endorsement and/or post-graduate programs for online and on-campus study in the fall, spring, or summer semesters. Previously admitted students seeking to change programs may do so at the beginning of a semester (only) by submitting a Change-of-Program quick app. Applicants must be in good academic standing according to Concordia-Chicago’s satisfactory academic progress standards at the time of requesting a program change

Seminar in Higher Education (EDU 6015)

In addition to the base program curriculum, international students attending face-to-face classes on the CUC campus are required to take the Seminar in Higher Education, a 3-credit course. This requirement will not apply to international DBA students studying exclusively online.
